We invite owners, breeders, riders, and trainers of any breed of pony, including POA, Icelandic, Walking Pony, Fell Pony, Fjords, New Forest Pony, Connemara Pony, Welsh, Sport Pony, Chincoteague, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Hackney, Haflinger, Quarter Pony, Shetland, or Grade, to sign up for a free, easy-to-build website. These websites are immediately on-line and you are able to show off your horse pictures, advertise your ranch or facility, or become a resource for your breed.
The tools with the free websites are able to copy an existing website. This is an easy way to give your existing site a better address (i.e. http://pony.iceryder.net or http://yourranch.iceryder.net or http://walking-pony.iceryder.net or http://connemara.iceryder.net or http://robins-horses.iceryder.net).
If you already have a website, or when you make a page on your free website, please feel free to add it to the Links Section below! This page will be accessed by many people checking into different pony breeds.
Gaited Horses and Ponies have a lateral gait which is usually soft-gaited. The following chart shows some of the gaits and their position between trot (square) and pace (very lateral, pacey).
Soft gaits include: foxtrot, pasitrote, paso llano, paso corto, paso fino, singlefoot, rack, paso largo, andadura, sobreandando, stepping pace, slick pace, huachano, pace. Occasionally you will hear the words amble, flat walk, fox walk, singlefoot, which have varying definitions.
